Al-Busm: “We have big plans to rehabilitate and reintegrate offenders”

Monday’s leisure trip for women offenders and their children organized by the Reform and Rehabilitation Directorate is a good example of the strategy being pursued to provide a conducive environment inside reform and rehabilitation centers, Ministry of Interior (MOI) Iyad Al-Busm said today.
Recognizing the necessity of maintaining relationships between incarcerated mothers and their children, and the importance of psychological well-being to rehabilitation, the activity was designed to put a smile on all of their faces, Al-Busm said.  
The MOI spokesperson emphasized that it is a co-operative effort, and his ministry is working with many authorities and relevant institutions to re-integrate inmates into society as good citizens.
