Reconstruction Projects of the Interior HQs .. a Non-stop Process of Building

Gaza-Interior Ministry 

Since the beginning of its journey, the Ministry of Interior and National Security focused on projects of reconstruction and restoration for all departments and centers in various provinces, with the aim of maintaining the security of citizens and strengthening the internal front in the face of occupation plans.

The Ministry of Interior has made great achievements in the process of reconstruction, which re-established and the construction of several centers of the security agencies and departments of the Interior Ministry, which was destroyed during the occupation aggressions between 2008 and 2012.

In the 27th of December in the winter of 2008, Israeli aircrafts destroyed all the buildings and security headquarters in the Gaza Strip with its malevolent missiles, without exception, from Rafah in the south and up to Beit Hanoun in the north.

The total destroyed sites were 57 sites with total area of 67240 square meters, while the rate of space that was reconstructed reached 20674 square meters.

Reconstruction did not last long until the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and National Security was hit for the second time, both civil and military suffered a new wave of destruction caused by the bombing by the Zionist war machine during the eight days war in November / October of 2012.

The number of police stations destroyed during the war was 13 reached a total area of 5710 square meters and estimated cost 3.00041 million thousand dollars, while the number of the headquarters of the rest of the hardware and ministries, destroyed completely and partially, were 23 with a total area of 7532 square meters, at a cost of 5,332,000 US$.

Military construction unit carried out, during the period between 01/06/2009-21/05/2014, a range of different projects that serve the Ministry of Interior and National Security in all governorates of the Gaza Strip from north to south, in order to provide the necessary needs to raise the Ministry's work to reach excellence in the performance and service of the citizen.

Military construction unit adopted in its work on the foundations of a modern architecture, and restored according to the best available resources. The total projects implemented by the  Unity were (76) projects.
