Ninth Regiment of Minor Pilgrims arrive Rafah Crossing

The minor pilgrims of the ninth regiment from the Gaza Strip were arrived today on Tuesday June 3,2014 via the Rafah crossing.

The Border and Crossing Committee at the Ministry of Interior pointed that the number of buses carrying the first batch of minor pilgrims from the ninth regiment started to enter the lounges of Rafah crossing after being held on the Egyptian side for more than 24 hours after they were entering buses Monday evening, in addition to some travelers stranded at the Egyptian side.

The Department indicated that the second batch of the ninth regiment arrives this evening to the Rafah crossing, and it will close the crossing after being opened exceptionally for three days for Umrah performers.

The Egyptian authorities are still closing the Rafah crossing in front of travel for humanitarian cases, patients and students for an indefinite period.
