At least three Palestinian civilians were killed at dawn Saturday in an Israeli airstrike on a civilian home in al-Zawaida village, in central Gaza Strip, bringing Gaza death toll to 2,095 victims.
Two casualties were identified by the Palestinian health ministry as ladies Hayat Abu Dahrouj, 47, and Houda Abu Dahrouj, 27. Medics were unable to identify the third casualty as the body arrived at the hospital cut into shreds. A local sources said an Israeli jet fighter bombed the house of Palestinian citizen Shahda Abu Dahrouj, south of Abu Obeida mosque in al-Zawaida, moments before another attack hit his son’s adjacent home. The attack claimed the lives of three civilians and left scores of others severely wounded, including a member of the rescue team. The shelled homes, along with a number of adjacent homes, sustained considerable damage, eyewitnesses told the PIC. Local sources said Hael Abu Dahrouj’s family members were still lying beneath the debris and the rescue workers were trying hard to reach them. Along the same line, Israeli warplanes on Friday night destroyed a mosque east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, the Israeli occupation have destroyed 190 mosques in the besieged Strip during its military operation since July 7. At least 2095 Palestinians were killed while 11,000 others were wounded in Israeli massive attacks on the Strip. |
