He said that many Palestinians came to Gaza during the recent offensive in order to show loyalty to their land despite harsh conditions. He pointed out, after verifying numbers and statistics of migrants from the Gaza strip, what is happening is not a phenomena and it needs to be observed and studied. "A big part of the illegal migrants, who went to western countries, leave legally via the Rafah Border Crossing and others live in Egypt for years", he said.
“In the last few months, some citizens have left the Gaza Strip illegally via tunnels on the Palestinian-Egyptian borders. However, Security Services discovered those new tunnels and closed them bringing their owners to concerned parties", Alghussein added.
The Israeli Occupation, reinforced by Zionist allies, are the main reason that the Gaza Strip has been besieged for six years with unemployment and harsh circumstances worsening the quality of life in the Strip, he added.
Alghussein said the International community bears full responsibility for the ongoing blockade in the Gaza Strip as it does not pursue the Israeli leaders who commit crimes and violate international laws. Opening the Rafah border crossing permanently for travelers and items would increase the quality of life and enable reconstruction and development in the Gaza Strip, Alghussein said.
He urges Arab countries to provide work opportunities for Palestinian refugees until their return to their countries. He also appeals to them to permit Palestinian graduates to work in Arab world so that they do not need to go to western world illegally
