The Civil defense service undergoes a very harsh stage in particular as the Gaza Strip faces three Israeli wars since 2007, Sa'ed Saudi the general director of civil defense said.
Fuel Shortage
"There is no budget for repairing or buying rescue and ambulance vehicles amid fuel lack which resulted in paralyzing 70% of them until the moment of editing this report", he added.
However, Saudi affirmed that the Civil Defense forces are ready to offer help for citizens in case of cold weather and "on foot".
He pointed out that civil defense work depends on staffs and financial budgets ,which includes equipment and vehicles.
The Civil Defense men do not receive salaries since the formation of reconciliation government in June.
Bad Equipment
Concerning the equipment, the general director appealed to free people around the world for offering aids and equipment to back the work of civil defense under siege and amid consecutive offensives.
He expected that the current situation is extremely difficult because of the previous reasons which will negatively affect the needs of citizens.
