Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired at a Palestinian ambulance vehicle while extending medical assistance to a family in Al-Khader village, Bethlehem province, on Wednesday night.
Abdulhalim Jafara, the spokesman for Bethlehem Red Crescent ambulance service, told Quds Press that IOF soldiers intentionally fired rubber bullets at the ambulance vehicle.
He said that the front window of the vehicle was smashed in the attack which meant that the ambulance crews could not help members of a family who were victims of the IOF teargas attack in the village.
Jafara strongly condemned the attack that came in violation of international laws that provided protection for ambulance cars and prohibited any hindrance to their work or attacking them.
He affirmed that the attack was deliberate as the vehicle carried clear signs at all sides indicating that it was an ambulance vehicle.
The spokesman said that 21 citizens suffered from breathing problems including five of one family as a result of the IOF teargas attack on the village.
