Jewish settlers on Friday destroyed an olive trees field in southern Nablus, according to a local activist. Ghassan Douglas, who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that Israeli settlers destroyed more than 70 olive trees in the village of Kherbet Al-Teereh using chainsaws. This incident came after 24 hours of cutting 1150 Palestinian Olive trees east of the Nablus on Thursday. Daghlas told the Radio Bethlehem 2000 that the settlers attacked Palestinian orchards that belong to villagers of Awarta, and used chainsaws to cut approximately 1150 trees. The attacked orchards belong to 25 families in the town, and are their main sources of livelihood.
